RYODORAKU TREATMENT

BOOK

AN OBJECTIVE APPROACH TO ACUPUNCTURE

By Masayoshi Hyodo, M.D.

There were many books on acupuncture in Japan, but most of them were written about classical acupuncture. With these books alone it was difficult for physicians to understand and adopt the practical techniques of acupuncture. This small book consists of extracts from the original publication in Japanese. The contents are limited to Ryodoraku treatment. Acupuncture treatment is now a major topic throughout the world. I belive that Ryodoraku treatment may be a great help even to foreign physicians in approaching acupuncture. Dr.Hyodo is the professor and chaiman in the department of anaesthesiology of the Osaka Medical College in Takatsuki City, Osaka since 1961. Previously he was at the Kyoto cardiac surgery, obstetric anaesthesia, and resuscitation. His main interest at present is the problem of pain. Dr.Hyodo has established a pain clinic since 1965 where acupuncture has been combined with nerve block treatment, and he is endeavouring to modernize and popularize classical Oriental Medicine.

RYODO-RAKU AUTONOMIC NERVOUS SYSTEM THERAPY

By Hirohisa Oda, Doc. Med. Sci.

An outstanding manual, representing the latest in Japanese scientific acupuncture outlining the physiological principles behind patient diagnosis and treatment, with particular emphasis on the relationship of the sympathetic nervous system and the visceral cutaneous reflex to the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The contents are based on the author's neurophysiological research.
